Dear Family and Friends,
No, the subject title of this email is not a joke. I am very serious! On Septemer 23rd, there is a team of 3 people leaving from one of our sponsor churches to do a construction project in Romania. Many of you will remember my email update earlier in the year concerning an extremely needy Roma (gypsy) family that needed a new home. This church decided to go and we thought there would be some men from another church joining them in the construction but we found out this week that it fell through. The goal is to dry in a very small, three room house in 9 days! Definitely a God-size task!
If you are interested in going, please contact me immediately. You need to already have your passport because I doubt there would be enough time to get one processed before leaving. If you buy your airline ticket today, the total trip cost would be $1,800. But each day you wait, the cost could rise due to the fuel surcharges now. Or, if you have frequent flyer points to use, the travel dates for the group are September 23rd - October 3rd.
We really only need one or two men to join the group but if there are more of you interested, please contact me as soon as possible at 919-721-3833.

Neli, our social worker for this project, Nurture Network, told me yesterday the family now has large rates (I think we call them warf rats) getting into the house each night. As many of you know, this is extremely dangerous for the family members if one of them should get bit. Please pray for The Lord’s protection over them.
