Dear Family and Friends,
I hope you had time to read the update sent out a few days by our Board Member and Treasurer, Margaret Moore. What she didn’t tell you is that she has done an impeccable job of managing the books and everything for our ministry so they audit went so smoothly. She was with the auditor for two days as he went over everything and asked her a million questions. And, she does all of this for the ministry WITHOUT a salary so that is one reason why we are able to keep our administrative costs so low. If there are those of you wondering how you can serve The Lord on the missions field, she is proof you can serve abroad right from your home. Daniel, I, and the rest of the board thank Margaret for how she serves The Lord with gladness through our ministry.
Daniel and I are leaving in the morning for the airport in Budapest, Hungary (about a three hour drive) and then we get on a direct flight from Budapest to New York and then another flight to Raleigh, NC. Upon arrival, we plan on devouring Mexican food and drowning our kidneys with sweet tea! Please pray specifically for me in this because 1) I actually don’t like to fly even though we do it all the time and 2) I do not sleep on flights and get irritated when everyone else does! Please pray that I get some rest so I don’t arrive totally exhausted. And please pray for Daniel because he has worked himself like crazy recently.
We have some other exciting news. One of our Education Inspiration students, Crina, is truly turning out to be a social worker in her own right! Her family asked us if we would be willing to sponsor a young Romanian boy living in terribly impoverished conditions. Interestingly enough, Crina’s family has brought three young people to us because they knew the families needed assistance. Two of those three were Romanian children. It truly blesses my heart to see this Roma family reaching out to everyone in their community, regardless of ethnicity, to help improve the lives of their children through education. Crina has done so well in school with the assistance of the Christian math tutor we pay. I am so proud of her for working hard and dreaming big. If she finishes high school, she will be the first person raised in her village to do so. Unbelievably sad and yet amazing at the same time. She definitely plans on attending college as well.
I would like you to meet one of the young Roma men that we found out about this week who is in dire need of our help to continue his education.
Florin He is such a sweet kid and his smile is an exact match to that of his kind father, both of who we had the pleasure of meeting last week. Florin told me he would like to be a mechanic and I told him that I would try to find sponsorship for him as long as he would agree to repair all of the vehicles in our ministry for free. He laughed and agreed that he would! His parents are evangelical Christians in a local Pentecostal church and very much want to see their oldest son educated. So, if The Lord touches your heart to help this young man, please write and let us know. His monthly sponsorship amount will be like the other two girls, $125 per month. If you can’t sponsor the whole amount, it doesn’t matter because we can split the needed amount among more than one person. If you send a check, please write “Education Inspiration/Florin” on a separate piece of paper with your donation.

We have some very important prayer requests we would like to share with you.
- Georgy Bancse – our ministry Administrator in Romania.
Georgy had a horrible experience last Friday when she stepped on a huge nail that entered between two of her toes. The doctor initially thought she had severed her second toe and planned on amputating it. Praise God, they were able to do surgery and save it. She will be out of work for quite some time because she cannot apply pressure to it and our office is up two flights of stairs. Please pray for her quick healing. If you would like to send her a card of encouragement or well wishes, please mail them to:

Romania - Our close friends, Scott and Meghan Kinney and their daughter, Coleman
Many of you will remember that they had a baby, Coleman, six months ago born with Downs Syndrome and a heart defect. Coleman had heart surgery yesterday and all is well. We praise God for this! We ask for you to remember them in prayer as Coleman goes through the recovery process over the next six weeks. You can email them at kinram@msn.com and let them know that you are lifting them up! - Florin’s upcoming exam
The Education Inspiration candidate I wrote about above needs to take a placement exam for entering high school. He has going to a vocational school to be a mechanic as an alternative plan but he would really like to go to a regular high school so he can eventual go to college. Please pray for The Lord to help him learn as he prepares for his exam in three weeks.
Basking in the Son,
Michelle
