Mission to Romania

Ohio and Romania news

Dear Family and Friends,

Daniel’s sister, Kristle, came home from the hospital on Thursday!!  She is healing well although we still do not know the pathology of the tumor.  We will find out at a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday.  We are anxious to get the results so we can help Kristle plan for the future.  Kristle is confident in God’s plan for her life regardless of the results.  I don’t think there is a better feeling in the world.

I received photos of our large garden from Agape Home and I wanted to share them because our employees and residents are so proud of how the Lord has blessed the work of their hands.  And they should be!  This photo is sweet corn and, as you can see, it is doing beautifully.

One of our residents, Alina, takes the presence of weeds as a personal affront.  You would be hard pressed to find a weed in the entire garden!  Praise God for perfectionists!!

This is a photo I intended to send to you before we left.  This is all of our current foster children and their foster mothers.  It is SO HARD to get 9 children to all look in the same direction!

We had a “Children’s Day” celebration on June 1st which, incidentally, was also my 7 year anniversary in Romania.  God has been very good to me, Daniel, and this ministry and we praise His name for the blessings and the trials which have refined our character.

I took individual shots of all nine of our children which I hope to get posted to the home page of our website.  I did want to include this one because she is about the cutest little thing I have ever seen!!!

This is a shot of me with our two oldest children.  We ask for you to please pray for the Lord to bring us Romanian Christian families to adopt them quickly.  It is so sad for us to see them repeatedly get rejected because of their ethnicity (they are Roma, more commonly known as “gypsy”).  We know God has a plan for their precious lives and we commit them to Him!

Many thanks to all of you who have prayed for us and Kristle.  We have certainly felt your prayers.

Basking in the Son,
Michelle
