Dear Family and Friends,
I just received a telephone call from Georgy, our Romanian administrator, about Casa Agape. As many of you will remember, last winter we had to remove the furnace we had shipped over from the USA because it did not meet fire department regulations. We found one manufactured in Europe that does but it costs $2,400 plus another $600 for permits, a certified drawing, and installation. Lamb’s Chapel Church in Florence, SC donated $1,200 towards the cost but we need the other $1,800 immediately. We have identified our first resident for Casa Agape but winter came early and we have no way of heating the place unless we use electric heaters which will end up costing us about $400 per month. Georgy told me it is already very cold and we need heat now. If you feel the Lord burdening your heart for this need, please email me and let me know how much you will be able to donate so I can let them know when we have the funds to buy it. You can send checks to:
Children In The Son, Inc.
PO Box 99063
Raleigh, NC 27624-9063
Make sure that you write “for Agape Home furnace” on a separate piece of paper with your check. Oh, if you would like to donate via PayPal on our website, you will have a note section to put the same phrase.
Daniel and I ask for you to please pray for us in our new home. We have only been here three nights now and last night someone tried to break in through the downstairs window. The Sheriff’s Department thinks it was just kids but it sufficiently frightened me. I am not used to these things happening and, oddly enough, I feel like I am in a foreign country!
Thank you so much for your continued support!
Basking in the Son,
Michelle
