Dear Family and Friends,

Many of you have written me to inquire of baby Nathan who I wrote about almost two weeks ago.  I went to the Children’s Hospital today to follow up and you will see for yourself in the photo how he has vastly improved.  What an amazing change!  The caretaker told me the problem is that he vomits profusely after each meal to the point he was not keeping anything on his stomach and became very weak.  I asked the nurse had they considered he was possibly lactose intolerant.  She said she would need to talk to the doctor.  I offered to pay for soy based baby formula and they told me they would consider this.

I came to visit during feeding time and I was allowed to hold him and feed him his bottle.  I fed him very slow taking the bottle out for him to pace himself.  It was so pitiful to see how he was absolutely starving.  When I was finished, I talked and rocked him and he began to laugh and smile.  Talk about melting my heart!!!  He did not vomit afterwards and seemed very comfortable when I left.

When I went back this evening, the caretaker was holding him (yet another miracle!) but as soon as he was finished eating she jostled him around and he immediately got sick.  This child really needs tender love and care.  Please pray for the Lord to make a way for us to place him in a foster family quickly.  He is over two months old but the size of a newborn.

Many of you will remember baby Maria who was abandoned 3.5 years ago because of a horrible tumor protruding from between her eyes.  We took her to Buffalo, New York for neurosurgery and she has been in the United States ever since receiving medical care and constant observation.  Maria’s adoptive mother, Connie, recently wrote me and sent me some beautiful photos.  Isn’t she growing up to be such a doll!!

This is what Connie shared with me about Maria:

“Maria’s first Bible memory verse is 1John 4:10.  She knows it by heart and says it all the time.  She tells people in the stores and at the doctor’s office that “God loves me”.  What a Blessing she is and a real testimony of God’s Grace.  Please continue to pray for her eyesight as doctors are still trying to save the vision in her right eye.”

I have a special prayer request for Daniel.  He is very sick with a bad virus and he has been very congested for two weeks now.  It seems to have worsened this weekend.  We ask you to pray for him to be healed quickly.  I don’t like seeing my sweetie feeling poorly.  :(

We are still working away on trying to get Agape Home open.  Each day, we get a little closer.  We thank those of you who have been praying for us and giving so generously to enable us to continue.

Basking in the Son,
Michelle
