Mission to Romania

The Final Countdown

Dear Family and Friends,

This has been a difficult week. After Maria’s surgery last Sunday, her swelling increased substantially. On Wednesday, they tried to remove the breathing tube but they were unsuccessful. On Friday, the swelling decreased drastically but her blood levels dropped. On Saturday, they began the process of weaning her from the ventilator in hopes they can remove the breathing tube on Monday. This morning, after routine blood testing, it was determined she needed a blood transfusion. We hope this is all the blood she will need.

We ask for your fervent prayers for Maria. If they are unsuccessful in removing the breathing tube on Monday, they will consider doing a tracheotomy ( I have no clue if the spelling is even close).

We hope to have a praise report for you tomorrow.

Basking in the Son,
Michelle
