Mission to Romania

Toronto or Bust!

If immediate experience cannot prove or disprove the miraculous, still less can history do so.” C.S. Lewis, Miracles

Dear Family and Friends,

I apologize for not writing sooner but I have had no ability to access a phone line for sending a group email.

Maria is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. EST. She is doing well although she was admitted into intensive care on Thursday as a precaution following her MRI. (For you medically people, after she was incubated for her MRI, they decided to keep the tube in until after her surgery.) As a result of this, she has developed pneumonia but this does not seem to be a concern for surgery. (We ask you to pray that this clear up quickly.) She is under sedation all the time so she is in no pain. Hallelujah!

The neurosurgeon is extremely optimistic about Maria’s recovery. He told us that his part of the surgery was relatively simple and would take about 2 hours. The plastic surgeons are the ones that have the more difficult job. They will attempt to do the first part of constructing a nose for Maria.

I will try to update you again tomorrow after the surgery. I thank you for your prayers!

I also want to thank Teen Ranch outside of Glasgow, Scotland, for their generous contribution that made all of this possible. May God richly bless your ministry!

Basking in the Son,
Michelle
