Mission to Romania

Rejoicing in the Son!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Family and Friends,

There are so many details that I have to write but so little time to do so!

The Seacoast youth team and their leaders, Scott and Meghan, are all staying with me right now. We have had a very full two weeks with the camp for juvenile delinquents. Now, the team are working in the Children’s Hospital and New Life House. They have been EXTREMELY busy. I have enjoyed having them here. I ask that you remember them in your prayers. They are experiencing difficulty in seeing such needy, neglected children.

One of the youth, Jessica Surratt, will be staying and is planning to work with our ministry until mid-November. Please pray for her as she adjusts to her work in the hospital with so many abandoned children. If you would like to write her, please email her at InTheSonTeam@aol.com while she is working here.

Many of you know about the situation with baby Maria, a child in our By His Stripes project. Esti left for Bucuresti tonight and she will be in line at the US embassy tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. We are PRAYING HARD for her (the interrogation she must undergo at the embassy can be excruciating) and we ask that you do the same. If the US embassy denies the visa, we have no other options for her treatment. God’s will be done! We will know the answer in the next 24 hours.

Many of you know that we have been doing fundraising for the hospital fees for Maria’s surgery. This past weekend, I received an email from Mirjam, one of the international volunteers that worked in our Arms of Mercy project. Mirjam is from Australia but, at the moment, she is visiting a ministry in Scotland, Teen Ranch. She wrote me to tell me that Teen Ranch would pay up to $10,000 for hospital fees and travel. Can you scream a big, “Praise the Lord!!!” with me!! :)

I will write more tomorrow! Thank you for all of your letters of prayer and encouragement.

Basking in the Son,
Michelle
