Dear Family and Friends, I would like to make a prayer request for my physical health. According to an American doctor here, I have a difficult strain of influenza. She says that the course is long and the residual effects even longer. Oh, joy. Nothing like coughing for three weeks. Apparently, this strain in impervious to all immunizations. I find myself laughing at the situation a bit because all of my employees are horrified when my lips start turning blue. [...]

Dear Family and Friends, I am thrilled to report that the social worker at the hospital was wrong….it was NOT our Marius that died!! Unfortunately, the child that died has the exact same history as our Marius but the social worker had all the information for our Marius in the deceased child’s file (this happens all the time because the hospital keeps terrible records.) Dear Family and Friends, This is my worse day on the mission field. Esti informed me that, Marius, our first baby that was to be taken into New Life House, died yesterday. The doctor had promised that she would not return him to his horribly abusive home but she did last week. Esti begged her to please wait until New Life House was open. Dear Family and Friends, I have arrived to my frigid frontier (Romania) once again. I left at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon well-equipped to endure the weather thanks to Seacoast Christian Community, a sponsor family from Seacoast, and Sierra Trading Post. Seacoast and a sponsor family both donated money for me to buy some new, warm clothes!!! I have purchased every warm sweater that I could find and some fabulous boots.
