Mission to Romania

Joyous

Dear Family and Friends,

I have tried to find time for the past three days to write the feeling of joy that I am experiencing as God’s plan unfolds before me. I decided to rise early this morning and write this update before the day gets lost in time.

After I wrote the email update last weekend regarding the container that is being sent to the Children’s Hospital in Oradea, I received a two-line email from a couple in Columbia. It stated that they were donating the remaining $800 to get the container from Constanza to Oradea. Praise God! Thank you, Harvey and Nancy Galloway, for allowing God to use you in such a mighty way!

On Wednesday, I received a call at work from the hospital where Crizantina is receiving her medical care. My blood ran cold when the nurse told me she was calling about Crizantina. However, I was quickly relieved when she asked how to get a call to Crizantina’s parents in Romania. We talked about the process a bit and then I asked to speak with Crizantina’s nurse, Coral. Coral told me that Crizantina’s right leg is now almost straight because of surgery and physical therapy. Then, she told me that Crizantina, with the assistance of two nurses, stood on her right leg in a walker. Coral’s comment was that her spirit soared after that incident. At hearing these words, I cried (of course). Coral told me how the behavior problems had subsided and how hard Crizantina was working with the physical therapists and others to expedite the healing process. To all of us who have been praying, God has truly answered our prayers.

Jeff and I will be stopping in Chicago for two days to see Crizantina on our way back to Europe. She asked me about 23 times on the phone when exactly that was (she does not understand days and time yet.) Jeff and I will be arriving in Chicago on April 19th and leaving on the 20th. If any of you have friends or family that could help us with all of our luggage to Romania and with a place to stay while we are there, we would greatly appreciate it. We ask that you remember this need in prayer.

Thank you for your emails of encouragement and prayer. God has blessed us tremendously with a supportive group of friends and family.

May you enjoy you day…

Basking in the Son,
Michelle
