Mission to Romania

For a Gypsy Girl

Dear Family and Friends,

My fingers are dancing as I write this email!!! Through the grace of God, we have finally received notice that the visa for Crizantina is being issued tomorrow. Praise God….this is finally over!! The Tonia project will soon be moved state-side!

Jeff and I are now making plans to return within the next week with Crizantina. I will fly to Bucuresti tomorrow to pick up her visa and then I will fly back tomorrow afternoon to become a packing whirlwind! Jeff and I need to have everything packed by Thursday night!! (Big thanks to Kent and Jan Grieve for picking me up at the airport!)

My emotions are a vortex at the moment. After struggling with frustration for so long, I am finally able to rejoice. I laugh and cry at the same time! Jeff and I are celebrating with the pastor that I am staying with and his wife.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tom Williams and his wife, Dr. Rhonda Williams. Tom’s hospital has been so gracious to send all the necessary documentation that we needed to get the approval. God used Dr. Williams to finalize all of the plans. Dr. Williams called the embassy to talk with the Consulate General to get a better understanding of what was needed. Because of this conversation, the Consulate General became much more affable. I praise God for the heart of Dr. Tom and his wife.

I would also like to thank Glenda Siegrist who is a Family Nurse Practitioner that is employed at the embassy. It was her insistence that initially got the Consulate General involved. She is also a wonderful Christian mother with a huge heart for ALL children. Praise God for His plan in having me meet her back in September!

This will probably be the last update that I send to everyone before leaving for the US. Thank you for your prayers and your encouragement. I hope to see many of you very soon!!

Basking in the Son,
Michelle
